Jodi Picoult

Yesterday was a busy day for me. I went out for the day with Jerrie & her cousin Lorinda to celebrate Jerrie's birthday. We planned to do some shopping down in the Seattle area & to see Jodi Picoult at a book reading/signing she was doing which coincided with our trip. This is the 2nd time we saw her (the first time in Bellingham) for Jerrie's birthday. The first time she was promoting her book "Vanishing Acts" and this time she's promoting "Nineteen Minutes." If you haven't read any of her books, I HIGHLY recommend them. They aren't your run-of-the-mill chick-lit books at all. They are highly emotional & gripping dramas that really make you think ... in a good way, of course. We had our picture taken with her but it's on Jerrie's camera which got left in Lorinda's purse ... so who knows where it might be now! HA ... hopefully Jerrie will email it to me soon so I can post it here. All in all it was a fun & very tiring day. http://www.jodipicoult.com/

Jerrie just sent me the picture ... YAY!!!!!!!!!
In case you don't know who's who, I'm standing in the back on the left and next to me is Jerrie's cousin, Lorinda.
In the front, sitting, is Jodi Picoult on the left & Jerrie on the right.
***************************
Aren't we fantastic?!?!?

How fun....it sounds like it was an exciting day, expecially with the Jodi Picoult book signing. I can't wait to see the picture with her!

Happy Birthday, Jerrie!!!

It is so nice of Jodi to come for my birthday. I think she loves us.

Thanks for a fun time GPS. You and the Vomi-nator made such a memorable day!

Fun times!

Wow! I bet she writes about you guys in her next book. Did she take down your names/numbers? Did you force them on her at the very least?!?!?!? LOL

She looks like she wants to abandon the book signing and just hang out with you guys instead. I bet that's what she said, wasn't it?

Cool beans, guys! The closest I've ever come to a real-live author is some dude stalking me on MySpace insisting he's a writer. LMAO
