Calob competed in a county math championship today. This is the first time he's competed in an event like this. Each team (for each grade) is supposed to have 4 kids. Calob's 7th grade team only has 2. They started off with 2 teams of 4 but the other 6 kids quit (bummer). For only having 2 kids on the team they don't get full points on the tests they work on together, which definitely puts them at a huge disadvantage but they wanted to compete anyway. Calob enjoyed himself ... a day of math ... who knew? ☺ Calob took 1st place individually (ROCK ON Calob) and his team of 2 got 3rd place in the team competition (AWESOME considering they couldn't even get full credit)!!!

Dude, thinking about a whole day of math makes my brains try to crawl out of my head and run out the door...but I'm glad it's fun for some people! LOL

Okay here I am finally commenting.
I think we all know that I am a math GENIUS, but since I was sick I totally couldn't participate in this little competition. You better hope I am still sick when you go to state...There is no telling what kind of havoc I could reek at a state math tournament! :)hehe
