A Day with Jerrie & Lorinda ... and Jodi Picoult too!!!

Let me start this post off by saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She's another year older (in number anyway) but she'll never show it. Young at heart like me ... ♥♥♥!!!

In honor of Jerrie's birthday, her cousin & bff, Lorinda, Jerrie & myself went down to Seattle for the day. We left around 8:45 and got home around 11:30 ... oh my, I am SO tired!!! We had a great day with lots of fun stuff packed in. We started out with Steve & Barry's. It's a store I've been wanting to go to for quite some time ... everything is $8.95 ... EVERYTHING! This is the store with Sarah Jessica Parker's, "Bitten" line. Also, Amanda Byne's, "Dear" line and the Starbury shoes. Great store & LOTS of stuff to look at. Lunch at Red Robin was next. As always, the food was great but our server, Cheryl (figures) was crazy & couldn't seem to keep anything straight. Then we were off to Trophy Cupcakes. Yes, a cupcake store. If you haven't been to a cupcake store, I highly recommend it. I had already planned which cupcakes I was going to have but unfortunately, the lady 2 people ahead of me in line bought the last of the lemon coconut cupcakes so I only got the hummingbird which was FABULOUS!!! Oh my, so yummy. Jerrie bought 16 cupcakes ... I have a key to her house. I might go raid it today. ☺

My hummingbird cupcake ... yummy!!!
Here is Jerrie in the Trophy Cupcakes store
While we were in the cupcake store one of the ladies working there mentioned that Dave Matthews had just been in there eating. Dave Matthews ... rock on! So anyway, we ate our cupcakes, loved it & went downstairs to check out the other stores. We went back upstairs & who do we see? Yes, Dave Matthews! He was with his 2 young daughters (at least we assumed they were his daughters) so we didn't bug him but it was exciting nonetheless. We then headed to University Village. Lots of stores to shop very near the college. After shopping it was time to go see Jodi Picoult. We have seen her the last 3 years now, always around Jerrie's birthday, and she never fails to wow us! She is currently on tour promoting her latest book, "Change of Heart." It's another FANTASTIC book that makes you question what you think & believe. I highly recommend it if you haven't read it already.

All in all it was a great day full of lots of fun, laughs & great girl time. I can't wait until next year!!!

Sounds like a great time! I wish you would have kicked Dave Matthews in the crotch, though. That would have TOTALLY rocked! And you could have told him it was sent with love, from Illinois. He'd totally know what you meant.

Which cupcake did you get to send me? I really like yellow ones with chocolate frosting, but will actually eat just about any cupcake you put in front of me. I'm just flexible like that.

Your Seattle trip sounds fantastic! Getting to go to the cupcake store, shop at University Village, AND see Jodi is quite impressive, not to mention running into Dave Matthews. Happy Birthday to Jerrie!!!

Glad you had such a good time! I kept thinking of you ladies last night when I was listening to Jodi. I am hoping to get my pics on my blog tonight!
