We're still in Hawaii & somehow we have managed to NOT melt yet. I don't know how (as I have seriously considered it) but we have pulled through. :)

On Sunday we went to the beach in the morning (another scorcher) and after we came back to Oscar's to shower & get ready for the day we picked up Sally, T's mom. We then headed to the military base (where Sally works) to do some shopping, sight seeing & we also had dinner at Sam Snead's. I did take pictures but you're going to have to wait to see those. :)

Monday we rested in the morning as everybody had sunburns & didn't want to go to the beach. After lunch we picked up T's grandpa and headed to the nursing home to visit grandma. It was fun to see the grandparents together. After we left there we went in search of shaved ice. Let me tell you, finding shaved ice on a Monday is harder than you'd think. I guess since the places are so busy on the weekends they take Monday off. We did finally find a place & we all cooled off with our fun selections of shaved ice. We dropped grandpa off and headed home to chill.

Yesterday morning we headed to the North Shore area with Denise & her family to check out Turtle Bay. Last time we came (April '05) T & Calob snorkled and saw lots of neat things ... this time, not so much but that's ok. Everybody had a good time as there was a bit of a breeze & we happened to snag an umbrella after some other people left. We then headed back to Oscar's to shower & prepare for the arrival of Sharon & her family for dinner. Yep, they made it to Hawaii. We had a very lovely dinner (prepared by Oscar) and had a great time visiting & just hanging out.

Today we are going to pick-up Sally and have breakfast. Then we're headed to the swap meet & the Ala Moana shopping center (mums, you'd LOVE it there)! I'm sure it'll be another hot, exhausting, fun day!!!

Phew! I'm worn out just from reading this post! Sounds like you are very busy but enjoying your time there! Can't wait to see pictures!
I'm sure the shaved ice was almost like getting a cure for the hot weather--at least it would have relieved the 'symptoms'. The Ala Moana shopping center sounds like it's right up my alley...can't wait to hear all about that!
Sounds like fun. Busy, Busy!
Enjoy!
