Saturday was the beginning of our soccer season. We will have 3 games every Saturday. 2 for Calob & 1 for Callie. I'm tired just thinking about it. Most days they will overlap as well, so that just adds to the fun. They both had pretty good games. Calob's team won both their games and Callie's team tied theirs. The only problem was that Calob hurt his wrist/arm during his first game. He got taken down pretty hard and you could tell he was hurting. When he finally came out you could see how swollen he was & in definite pain. He iced it and then played the 2nd game (which I didn't see, as I was at Callie's game) but apparently he did quite well, considering. His arm is still swollen & in pain but we're thinking it's getting better ... slowly but surely. If it's not better in the next couple of days I'll have to take him to the doctor as he can only be excused from P.E. a few days w/o a doctor's note.

After the games we ran some errands in town & then came home to enjoy the lovely weather. I think it's supposed to be quite nice all week ... the kids are really liking it because usually it's very nice this time of year and we've had pretty gloomy weather up until now.

Sorry about Calob. Hopefully his wrist is better soon. Katie took a dive in her game too. Gord had to carry her off the field. She seems to be OK now.
I wouldn't be able to even think about doing a cartwheel. I'm sure that I would pull something somewhere and it wouldn't be pretty!
Ok, hope Calob's arm is better! Did Callie do anything special to be on the pink team or did it just happen that way?

Also - no sympathy from me on the massive amounts of soccer games. I only wish my sports could be taken care of in one day! I have 2 high school football games each week and soon will have flag football added to the mix. As well as racing (still!) every Saturday.
To give you an idea of the Saturday racing - I was at the track for over 12 hours Saturday. And had to figure the points/standings with 60 guys hovering over my shoulder wanting to know where they finished in the standings. UGH!
Feel sorry for me yet? I didn't think so! LOL
Soccer will end soon enough and then you'll miss those games. Trust me on this.
Well, Calob is in good company being injured in the first game of the season....he and Tom Brady (Pat's QB) both took a hit. I hope Calob's wrist is better, and not swollen & sore.
I think the pink soccer outfits are great!
And...I'm amazed that you can still do cartwheels after all these years, especially with such form!
