X-Rays, Friends & Soccer

I didn't realize I hadn't reported back on Calob's wrist. Sorry about that. We went back to the orthopedist on Thursday & he ordered more x-rays of Calob's wrist. After looking at the x-rays (which didn't look good to me, you know, I'm practically a doctor) he decided to NOT re-break the arm but said it would be deformed. This sounded odd. I'm guessing he didn't love the look of the x-rays BUT he didn't feel they looked bad enough to put Calob through the re-break. I'm ok with that. From what I've heard it's not pleasant so we'll take whatever deformity (I'm not expecting anything huge) comes along with it.

Yesterday after school, Callie & I went to town with Jennifer & Kylie. Callie & Kylie have been friends for years but haven't been in the same class since 1st grade ... until now. I know Callie is enjoying hanging out with Kylie again & having fun. So we went to town to hit up Build-A-Bear in the mall & then to eat dinner. I swear, even after a long week, those girls had SO much energy. I don't know how they do it but boy, they sure do know how to have a good time! :)

This is Kylie & Callie getting their bears filled ...
I'm not sure what Callie is doing but it's a cute picture.
Her shirt says "It's better being brunette!"
Oh yeah it is!!!
Callie with her stuffed bear
Kylie & Callie with their finished bears.
Kylie named hers Juliet. Callie named hers Shawn.
Just like Shawn Johnson ~ the gymnast!!!
SO cute!
Witches in disguise ... lol
After the mall we went to eat at Billy McHale's. We ate LOTS of food (so yummy) and had a great time.
Kylie & Jennifer
Thanks SO much for inviting us out Kylie & Jennifer. We had a great time
& we'll definitely have to do it again!!!

Today was another soccer day. I never reported in that last Saturday, Callie's team had another tie, 2-2 ... so they were 0-0-2. lol Today they played the best team in their division. Seriously, that team is stacked with TONS of good players. Not that our team doesn't have good players but really, the blue team has way more than the rest of the teams. Anyway .... Callie's team lost 4-1 but I'm pretty happy they scored against this great team!

I really LOVE this picture!!!
Callie is really going for it - and she got it!

Good kick Callie!
Today was also picture day for soccer.

Here's Callie's team.

Callie is front & center, with the ball.

I don't know too much about re-breaking wrists but I'm sure that not having it done is a good thing! It makes me sick (oh wait, I already am sick) just thinking about it.

Build-a-Bear always a good time!

It looks like you guys missed the rain at the soccer game. Either that or they were just silly and sat on the ground anyways!

Glad he doesn't have to have it rebroken, but the deformity thing is a little disconcerting. I dearly hope it doesn't create any problems for him down the road.

At least now you just have one kid to watch play soccer and don't have to worry about missing games! That's the bright side to all of this, right????

Callie's soccer pictures are great, and I love the team pic.

It's good to hear that Calob didn't have to go through the re-break and can continue to mend.

It looks like the girls are enjoying the build-a-bear...how fun.
